Bobetta's Mad Hatter Tea Party

Ok.so It was like Fort knox it get into here.. ( it's been a while) I have knit many things.. I won't bore myself trying to  show off every last detail..just the highlights of summer in the city with a hand knitted dog. Here she is in all her  "Alice in Wonderland" fun attire.. BOBETTA! She was dressed up for...A Mad Hatter's Tea party! Oh the silly things that go on in this dogs life! (the last photo is Bobetta's guests at this Shindig) Did'nt the  family cat do a great job playing "Chesssss"? : ))) He scores high for the "I'm bored" look.

O.k. back to serious knitting.. That was my brain on drugs.. Actually I'm working on a bobbled wonder that actually HURTS to knit. (who knew) Bobetta's  Mad hatter tea party was a st.st. wrist relief ..I'm healed now and WILL finish the bobbled wonder as it IS a Christmas gift.  Oiy..the descent into The festive season! It's here already?! Mercy. So stay tuned .I'll be knitting Bobetta a few friends for Christmas.. she is a social butterfly and very on the go. I can hardly keep up with her. Oh right ..she'll need a Christmas dress. I can't WAIT to find matching SHOES for that! She'll want shinny something. What a girl!                       Dog.

Bobetta and the boat..

Here she is..all "decked" up to go sailing.. The wind planned to  blow her away so I gave her a lollipop to calm here after I TIED her to the dock!  Dogs and water are usually a happy mix.. Bobetta is a true girly girl. She did not like the salty mist coming up off the wind skimmed ocean and she did not like removing her deck shoes once off the yacht!  Tofino is a very windy tourist trap.  Bobetta  may like the farm better and her big outing to learn to ride a horse. Me thinks she may require some dog hiking boots? : )

A Shower of Roses

Herietta and the gang are coming..the foxes are having a longer than normal gestation...but soon all the animals will be here.. the delay is a shower of roses for someone I've never meet. The things knitting leads me to.. Shown here is a baby shower gift for a not so little  baby, but an adoption of a 4 year old.. Instant motherhood and happiness awaits. Knitters the world over are uniting to "shower" the new mother.
Before heading off to Vancouver island to photograph "A Good ship Lollipop" I was pushing out daisies.. ok just the knit kind...  here's a front and back version of "Driving Miss Daisy"

Lavender Leaves and Lace

And then...I drove myself crazy with common knitting, albeit a self inflicked design. I dunno why I dislike pastel colors yet buy them anyways, thinking it's Oh-so-Easter-y... yet Easter was COLD heavy coat weather. *sigh* It's the way of things. The  seasonal functioning of brain cells does not always take the  correct route. Here it is finally OFF my needles... and ready to accompany me to a wedding. Coming next: My nautical summer designs, Asope's saddle, plus a new adventure for Bobetta: "Maurice and Bobetta go for a ride" (more muppets come to my house.. Kane the rooster, Hanna and Hazel (geese)  Henrietta (hen) plus a fox and her pups! Bobetta gets scolded and sent to the barn for a day. I think she's going to like there. : ))))

Welcome Bobetta! ( a dog muppet is born) She began as a mere photo prop of course.. She was soposed to be like  BOB... a black and white dog, the  knitters dog...the dog associated with knitters around the world. But she had other plans. She is a liberated dog. A happy dog, a FEMALE dog! She is My dog. Her playful antics won my heart. No more transplants  or nose jobs. She is  Bobetta. She is home.I can't wait to knit her a bed...and a collar and a name tag... she is the perfect pet. She never barks unless I tell to and rarely needs to be walked! She is the perfect dog.

Gonzo comes for Christmas

That mouth of his took seven trys! A great project to drive a knitter crazy!  (are we there yet?)

Christmas came quickly and disappeared equally as fast. Sickness  slithered in  for New years. Things got lost. I bought yarn. Life moves along. All the Mens sweaters got knit, wrapped, given and loved. I will definately start my Christmas knitting earlier this year. Like Now. I'm behind schedule with the baby season and "investments" but taking it at a slow pace is not so bad. ~breathe~  Why am I always in a hurry? Who am I competing with? (My Muppet family is COMPLETE) I will not make more muppets. I will not make more muppets. I will not make more muppets. Why do I keep dreaming up a pattern for Fozzy bear? A piano. A 3 ring circus costume. Think of the fun I could have with a hoola hoop!  : o  I will not make more muppets. *slap*
